Bacon Cinnamon Rolls
September 17, 2008 by Marianne
OMG! These look so good, and so easy to make. The brilliant Mr. B over at Bacon Today came up with this crafty idea, and I cannot wait to try it. Basically, you buy a tube of pre-made cinnamon rolls, unroll each one, place a strip of bacon inside and roll it back up. Cook according to the instructions on the tube and you’re done!
Skulls and Bacon had the same question I did: was the bacon done enough? Mr. B says he was fine with the bacon as it was, although he admits he’s not necessarily a crispy bacon guy. I have a feeling I would want to pre-cook the bacon just a little. Also, one of his readers triedĀ the recipeĀ and found that she had a hard time unrolling the rolls. Be sure you get a nice big can of high-quality dough to make your job easier. That said, I say we all go out and try it this weekend!

holy shit balls. two of my favorite things all in one tidy package. can’t wait to try it.

This is just disgusting…! I am an activist to save the bacon for a rainy day…. you guys are exploiting the great and true taste of this special gift god has given us….
The way I see it, Ryan, I’ve only got so long to live. I have to get in as much bacon as possible. And while I appreciate your desire to conserve our natural resources, we’re going to have to agree to disagree on this one.
Or maybe we should take it outside? Assuming I don’t clog an artery between here and the door.
I’m so happy right now I could cry. Could it possibly taste as good as it sounds?
So says the word on the street!
I’m studying abroad in Australia where REAL bacon does not exist (”bacon” here is just ham pretty much) and I can honestly say that this will be the first thing I make when I get back to the states….looks amazing, I hope it tastes even better
What a great thing to wake up too! I always thought this breakfast treat didn’t have enough meat!
